Mission Statement
To build strong foundations of faith for young children while promoting spiritual, academic, social, physical, and emotional development; preparing each child to make a life changing connection with Jesus Christ.
Educational Philosophy
We strengthen spiritual development and familiarize the children with God’s Word through daily prayer, Bible stories, and memory verses. Christian principles of behavior are modeled and promoted throughout every classroom.
Our staff is committed to teaching children in a way that promotes active learning through exploration, discovery, creativity, problem solving, and respectful interactions with peers and adults. We utilize independent and group activities to promote learning and reinforce concepts in our classrooms.
Ongoing assessments guide teaching experiences. Children are encouraged to use all five senses to experience and learn from their environments.
We believe a strong partnership with parents is vital to the overall development of each child. Our staff is dedicated to working with parents to make each child’s educational experience the best it can be.
Child Wellness Policy
We want to provide a healthy environment in our preschool. Children will not be allowed to attend class if they have any of the following symptoms:
fever
vomiting
diarrhea
green or yellow runny nose
discharge in or around the eyes
any communicable disease
excessive coughing
questionable rash
Children must be free of any of these symptoms for at least 24 hours before returning to school.
School Cancellations
In case of bad weather or emergency closing, Growing in the Son follows Chatham County School System. If the school day has not started and you are unsure regarding the opening or closing of the school, check local radio broadcasts or news stations for details.
