Character Coach Workshop
We will be hosting character coach/chaplain training on October 11th in room 250. This workshop focuses on building and training coaches of character in sports. It will last from 6:30pm to 8:00pm and is presented by Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Sports Outreach
The Savannah Christian Sports Ministry exists to unite our congregation and our community in fellowship through various sports opportunities. The greater-Savannah area has an active adult recreational sports community that includes indoor and outdoor soccer, flag football, basketball, men’s and women’s softball, in-line hockey, ultimate frisbee, and tennis. If you love to play, and believe in modeling God’s love through your play on the athletic field, join us for one or all of these sports.
And we’re always looking for team captains to lead specific teams in any given season. If you have experience organizing a church team, let us know.
Also, if you are interested in really stepping up to the plate and making an impact for God in the sporting community, volunteer opportunities exist with the regional chapter of the Fellowship for Christian Athletes. From coming alongside individual coaches and mentoring them one-on-one, to sponsoring and committing to an entire high school basketball team, young athletes and their coaches are in great need of Godly support and encouragement.
